The good news is that a new state-funded initiative wants to change that. This new program aims to help homeowners make the switch to solar at no upfront cost through rebates and incentives.
Funded by the Federal Government as well as private non-profits to promote alternative energy, this Program’s directive is to get solar panels installed on the roofs of those who cannot afford the high upfront costs. This program uses rebates and incentives, in the form of Earned Income Tax Credits (EITCs), as well as money raised by companies who want to lower our carbon footprint.
